Mickey and the French Sign Language
With its many shows, Disneyland Paris is continuously adding to the ways that it amazes our guests – including our guests with a disability. Disneyland Paris recruits artists that can bring magic to life for everyone for a truly unforgettable experience.
The company has been an essential player in terms of professional insertion since 1992, and works to sustainably employ those with a disability. Our resort held auditions for actors that are fluent in French Sign Language.
For the first time in a European theme park, a show has been adapted to include an actor who will communicate in French Sign Language… And it is none other than Mickey and the Magician, which is performed in Walt Disney Studios Park®’s Animagique Theater! The adaptation of this iconic show, which won a “Best Theatrical Production” award from industry professionals in 2016, is part of our initiative to constantly improve our offerings. It also responds to our legal obligations in terms of accessibility, and our commitment to bringing Disney magic alive for everyone, including our deaf and hearing-impaired guests.
Our Entertainment, Mission Handicap, Guest Accessibility, and Operations teams can’t wait to present this brand new version of the show – the product of a fantastic collaboration.
The adapted show will be performed on six dates during the Christmas season:
– Saturday 23 December and Sunday 24 December 2017
– Saturday 30 December and Sunday 31 December 2017
– Saturday 6 January and Sunday 7 January 2018.
Show times are as follows:
11:45 AM, 12:50 PM, 1:55 PM, 4:10 PM, 5:15 PM.
Of course, all show performances are open to all guests.
