In October, the family attraction Ratatouille: The Totally Crazy Adventure of Remy will close its doors for a major renovation, during which the teams at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris and Disneyland Paris will pull out all the stops to enhance the iconic attraction at Walt Disney Studios Park, which will reopen in spring 2026.
The renovation will include technical and scenic improvements to offer visitors an even more immersive experience in the world of Pixar Animation Studios’ Ratatouille. It all begins with an enhanced queue, where visitors will be able to discover, when the attraction reopens in 2026, a new scene depicting a Parisian artist’s studio teeming with details and props: canvases on the walls, paint splatters, and a basket of fruit that could well whet the appetite of the adorable rats in the neighbourhood.
In the attraction, new props, projections and oversized set pieces – specially designed by Disney Imagineers – will enhance certain scenes and reinforce the feeling of being shrunk to the size of Remy and his friends.
The renovation will be an opportunity to modernise the technical equipment, including replacing all video projectors with the latest models. This upgrade will also be accompanied by an optimisation of the video media projected in the attraction, offering improved visual quality. Following these additions, and after several months of testing and studies with visitors, the attraction’s media will now be permanently projected in 2D.
