Fancy a Disney-style breakfast? Here’s a recipe for pancakes, it’s super good and easy, with no resting time, to shape as Mickey’s head for a fun and cheerful breakfast!  



for about 6 pancakes (you can double the doses to make more):

  • 250g flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter



Mix all the “liquid” ingredients first (milk, beaten egg, melted butter) and then add the flour, salt, sugar and baking powder. Mix everything by hand. Do not use a mixer or a food processor, the dough should not be too thin, (and if there are a few lumps left, it’s not too serious).



This is where it gets tough! We’re not going to lie to each other, without a mould, it’s not that simple! My first 2 pancakes would have made Walt himself scream in despair and I thought I heard Cyril Lignac laughing from his Parisian kitchen… But, it’s a helping hand, try it, you’ll succeed!  

In a greased frying pan that’s not too hot, pour a ladle of dough (a small ladle, “crêpe party” version) to make the head. The dough tends to spread itself out in the right shape, just round off any unneeded parts with a spatula.

For the ears, I filled a tablespoon full of dough (letting the dough dome on top of the spoon) and poured the dough in the right place, on each side of the head, holding the spoon vertically and letting the dough fall gradually, intermittently.

You have to let the pancake cook well on the first side before turning it over, otherwise the ears will come off (you can see lots of little bubbles forming on the surface of the pancake when its time to turn it over). Cooking on the other side is much faster.
