The Different Seasons at Disneyland Paris in 2019

This article was translated by Patrick G. from the original version posted by Xavier on the ED92 France blog.

Stop everything that you were doing, turn off your television, put your telephone off the hook, turn off the oven and put your mobile phone into flight mode (maybe skip the last one because you won’t be able to follow the updates to our articles).

Disneyland Paris has announced all the seasons that the Parisian resort will welcome in 2019 during a special press conference in Paris. Get comfortable and let us guide you through the mound of information that has just been released. We have sifted through the all the news to bring you the scoop so let’s dive in!

Disney’s Halloween Festival

Disney Halloween Festival

Halloween is an incredibly popular time with visitors. Since October 1 (and until November 4) Disney’s Halloween Festival is delighting guests and will of course be returning next year to Disneyland Park. Throughout the entire month of October 2019 the Disney villains will take control of the park. Like in 2017, Gooofy’s Skeletoon Party will return to Frontierland. Buzz Lightyear will face off against Zurg for the first time in Discoveryland. The show It’s Good To Be Bad with the Disney Villains will once again take to the stage at Castle Stage Theatre. You will also be able to meet the Disney Villains throughout the Halloween season.

You have surely noticed that a new float has joined the Halloween cavalcade : Mickey’s Illusion Manor.

For the special Halloween party on October 31 2018 there will be a show based on Big Hero Six in Videopolis, a new show in Discoveryland Theatre and Disneyland Paris will spook us on Adventure Isle.

Disney’s Enchanted Christmas

It’s THE highlight of the parisian resort’s calendar, THE season where the crowds are plentiful, THE time of the year where the wait times are longer than the Real Madrid’s list of accolades, most importantly it is THE moment of that is not to be missed.

From November 10 to January 6, Disneyland Paris will don its finest sparkling attire to dazzle vistors both young and old.

Numerous events will once again bring the magic to life at the most special time of year for some Disney magic at Christmas including Disney’s Christmas Parade, a meet and greet with Santa Claus at Meet Mickey Mouse until December 25, the lighting of the christmas tree at Mickey’s Magical Christmas Lights will have new music to celebrate our favorite mouse, Merry Stitchmas will return once again to the Castle Stage Theatre from November 16, Mickey’s PhilarMagic, Let’s Sing Christmas at Videopolis Theatre not forgetting the Enchanted Advent Calendar from December 1 to December 24.

Walt Disney Studios Park will not be left out of the fun. Returning for its second consecutive year, Goofy’s Incredible Christmas will be projected onto the Tower of Terror.

Mickey will be on the drums for Mickey’s Christmas Big Band (which will have new costumes).

The traditional meet and greets with the Disney characters in their Christmas outfits will also return.

A brand new show will take place on the main stage: Surprise for Mickey!

For New Year’s Eve there will be an exclusive fireworks show on the castle but this year hotel residents will not be forgotten about. Disneyland Paris has planned a fireworks show on Lake Disney. The special New Years Parade will also return with 40 floats, Mr and Mrs Incredible accompanied by Frozone will dance the night away with guests in Discoveryland at a Dance Party. Walt Disney Studios Park will also have a Dance Party that will be hosted by Olaf.

Star Wars: Legends of The Force

As per the previous two years, characters from the legendary saga “Star Wars” will return stronger  than ever to Walt Disney Studios Park from January 12 2019 to March 2019. You have surely noticed a change in the name from Star Wars: Season of The Force to Star Wars: Legends of The Force. A new character will be meetable this year. Having already been out for meet and greets during special events such as Halloween 2017, Chewbacca will meet guests in Walt Disney Studios Park. BB-8 and Boba Fett will take to the stage during the “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away” show.

The main stage in front of the Tower of Terror will be slightly modified compared to 2018 with two smaller stages being added on either side of the main stage.

The March of The First Order led by Captain Phasma will impress guests during the day.

Festival of Pirates and Princesses

Dethroned from its original spring season the “Festival of Pirates and Princesses” will return in… winter from January 19 to March 17 in Disneyland Park. No you are not dreaming the season will be in winter at the same time as “Star Wars: Legends of The Force”. Both parks will have their own seasons respectively. We are already feeling for the many performers who will have to don their princess attire in frosty conditions. I can already hear Jasmine, Snow White or Aurora complain how the cold has always bothered them unlike a certain icy queen.

Marvel Super Heroes

Disneyland Paris is changing dates. Goodbye “Marvel Summer”. The Marvel Super Heroes arrive this spring from April 1 to June 30. You will be able to meet Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America and other super heroes.

There will be two big new additions. Groot will be out for meet and greets during the season. But that’s not all. You will also be able to see him on stage during the show with the Guardians of The Galaxy. For the rest there are no changes in regards to the previous year. Yes, the show Marvel Super Heroes United will return, with less technical problems we hope.

Festival of the Lion King and the Jungle

2019 will be the year of a brand new season in Disneyland Park called “Festival of the Lion King and the Jungle”. I am sure that the more attentive of our readers will have noticed that 2019 coincides with the reopening of the “Chapparral Theater” (if rennovation work gets done quickly enough) which will host a brand new show themed to the Lion King. This season will take place from July to September 2019.

The stars of The Jungle Book and The Lion King will be present to bring happiness to all.

Unfortunately there is no further information about this season at this time.
