Original music for Adventure Way

New original music for Adventure Way at Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris

Starting March 29, 2026, visitors will be greeted upon arrival at Adventure Way by an original soundtrack specially created for this walkway by composer Philippe Rombi. This new 40-minute theme, recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios, will offer visitors a magical interlude in the heart of Disney Adventure World.

On Saturday, December 13, French composer Philippe Rombi surprised Disneyland® Paris fans at an event in the heart of the destination, revealing in person the new musical theme written for Adventure Way, the new green promenade that will connect the immersive worlds of Disney Adventure World starting in spring 2026. Accompanied by Michel den Dulk, Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, he discussed the inspiration behind the writing of this suite.

While the music for worlds such as World of Frozen is naturally based on the animated films from which it originates, an area as unique as Adventure Way could only have original music, a first for Disneyland Paris since 1992 and the original score heard in Discoveryland.

To meet this musical challenge, and inspired by his style, the Imagineers had the idea of calling upon Philippe Rombi, a composer well-known in French cinema. Nominated four times for a César Award, notably for the film Joyeux Noël (Merry Christmas), whose soundtrack was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, he recorded the music for Adventure Way under the same conditions during the summer of 2025, with the 84 musicians of this iconic orchestra. A return to his roots for the composer, who worked as a pianist at the Disneyland® Hotel when Disneyland Paris opened in 1992!

Based on creative discussions, concept reviews, and even a visit to the Disney Adventure World construction site, Philippe Rombi conceived two main themes centered around the notions of adventure, travel, wonder, and distant horizons. From these two main themes, the composer wrote a grand suite of nearly 40 minutes that resonates throughout Adventure Way, as well as its various themed gardens, to which he added subtle allusions to Disney themes – Peter Pan and 101 Dalmatians for the Gazebo Garden, and Tangled for its dedicated garden. A piano version can also be heard at The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. The result is a perfect synthesis of Philippe Rombi’s artistic identity and the musical universe of Disney!

“Choosing original music for an entire area of a Disney Park is extremely rare, and entrusting it to a French composer is even rarer. It’s a true recognition of my work and an honor. I’ve always composed out of passion, from the heart. The fact that my music moved the Imagineers to the point of wanting to entrust me with such a responsibility touches me deeply,” said Philippe Rombi.

Disney and me, it's a long love story. I fell into it as a child and never got out. From movies to theme parks, through the history of the Walt Disney Company, to comic books, everything fascinates me.
