📢 Disney experience By Valentin

I would like to travel the world. I would like to know all the novelties in the Disney parks! How I would like to go there if I could!

And you too, I think. So, while waiting to take the plane, the boat, the carpet… let’s look together at what’s happening on the Disney planet.

Disneyland California

Let’s start in the California park where Mantis has just arrived at the Avengers Campus to help Star-Lord with their dance mission. So are you ready to dance with them? Beware, Mantis will only stay for a short time and will soon leave for new adventures.

Disney World in Florida

The wind is in the east, grab your umbrella and head to Disney World in Florida where some changes are coming for 2024. Starting January 9, dated tickets will no longer require advance reservations to enter the resort’s parks. The same day will mark the return of the Dinning Plans, an option that allows you to pay in advance for your meals and have peace of mind during your days. The various Dinning Plans can be booked from 31 May 2023 and will therefore begin on 9 January 2024. Finally, a simplification of the Genie + service is underway and should also arrive during 2024.

Disney Cruise Line

Now let’s travel the seas and take advantage of this time to rest on a Disney cruise. The company’s first ship, the Disney Magic, will welcome on board some very recent Disney and Pixar worlds. Indeed, the Soul universe will be honoured in the Soul Cat Lounge. Between leather seats and jazz, you will be able to relax in this atmosphere mixing New York and Jazz. Still on the Disney Magic, an Encanto celebration is planned. Between music, songs, manual workshops and meetings with Mirabel and Bruno, everything will be done to immerse you in this universe.

Hong Kong Disneyland

Finally, let’s take a look at Hong Kong Disneyland and more precisely at Frozen land where images of the second attraction Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, a family coaster that will not be available in any other Frozen land, have reached us.

🍽 A la carte in the world By Estelle

Once again, we are back for another round of the table. This week, the planet Disney is going to treat us. Come on, I don’t want to make you wait any longer, let’s go to the table right away!

Tokyo Disney Resort

In the space of a few days, Tokyo Disney Resort has presented a lot of new food items. The 40th anniversary of the Asian park is being honoured!

From 18 May onwards, it will be possible to buy a long loaf of bread with the image of Mickey (salted butter flavour).

At the Yutucan Base Camp Grill restaurant (Tokyo Disney Sea), a new menu has been created, available until 30 September 2023. A menu made for the 40th anniversary of the park and in collaboration with the attraction Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull.

At the Disney Hotel Amabassador, a takeaway breakfast has been introduced. You can now have breakfast in bed!

Finally, as you know, I love the little extras that the parks offer, and this week I chose the Tokyo Disney Resort 40th Anniversary popcorn case that will be released on June 13th!

Walt Disney World

For those of you going to Walt Disney World in the summer, I have news for you… A new restaurant is opening at EPCOT (Japan Pavilion): Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya! This new restaurant will be with table service and will live up to the Japanese celebrations. The thing to know is that all the sushi will be prepared in front of you by the chefs!

ShopDisney goes back to the 1940s, while Loungefly turns to the 1950s with a new Cinderella edition. Meanwhile, LEGO is celebrating two Star Wars calendar events with releases for serious AFOLs.

ShopDisney Disney 100

A quick look at the ranges coming to the UK and Europe before they go global. Already on sale in the US on ShopDisney since April, the 1940s-themed range is finally about to make the jump to Europe. The Pegasus plush toys and the Loungefly backpack featuring Pinocchio during his transformation into a donkey are available. The range also includes a pin featuring Scrooge McDuck and ears featuring the Three Caballeros.

In addition, in honour of Disney 100, ShopDisney’s US and Asian branches have added a Mr. Toad and the Headless Horseman playset, which pays tribute to The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. These two animated shorts were released in 1949 as a single film and later on VHS. However, they were not in the image of many products in the past.

Loungefly

Loungefly has unveiled a minimal but shimmering model to be released in June 2023 in honour of Cinderella: the Cinderella Happily Ever After mini backpack. It costs €90 or £85. The new all-white bag depicts the final image of the wedding carriage with leaves and silver-coloured metal. Hidden details abound. Mice and birds and a matching lining are hidden inside the bag.

LEGO Star Wars

What’s new for the AFOLs among us? This May, LEGO Star Wars is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi with the Emperor’s Throne Room diorama. Aimed at 18+, this 807-piece diorama will cost £89.99 or €99.99 for avid collectors. As the price suggests, it features custom details, minifigures of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, as well as a commemorative detail marking the 40th anniversary.

The commemorative line also invited you to build the speeder chase diorama on Endor. Help Luke and Leia in their chase, for the price of £69.99 or €79.99 and the effort of connecting 608 pieces.
LEGO VIPs can also take advantage of the releases surrounding Star Wars Day, with early access to the X-Wing fighter. The Ultimate Collector Series T-65 model is priced at a whopping £209.99 or €239.99 for 1949 pieces, with two minifigures in the set.

Our flight on Worlds of Disney is now over and you are back home. We hope you enjoyed your trip with us! Don’t miss our next issue for a new world tour of Disney news.

Pss! If you missed the previous issue, it’s over here!

Passionate about writing and the world of fairy tales to the point of making it the subject of my thesis, the magic of Disney touched my cradle and never left me. From the enchantment of the princesses to the most incredible adventures, it is this pinch of dreams that has imbued my pen.
